In the never ending quest for perfection, Shimano has re-imagined the future of ultra long range reels and for the first time combined a radical new spool design with its world renowned Super Slow 10 Oscillation. The new Long Stroke Spool is 45mm in length and substantially increases the surface area of the spool (+30%), when compared to previous models.

The Aero Technium MgS XTD is packed with features. A Hagane body, with magnesium frame makes it incredibly lightweight yet unbelievably tough. Hagane Gears for maximum strength, Infinity drive and Silent drive for increased winding power, smoothness and durability. It features a single piece bail arm in titanium to always guide line to the roller and optimum bail arm strength.

The 45mm stoke spool with Super Slow 10 line lay system lays 107 wraps of line per oscillation to obtain a perfect linear launch, reaching greater distance, more precisely and Rigid cast to be able to handle and better control all of that power exerted during a cast.
