Chodda Description

The Atomic Tackle Carp Chod Hook, the Chodda is purpose built for the supremely successful chod rig. The  strongest, sharpest, carp chod hook of its kind, with an out-turned eye and extended point. Perfect presentation and rock-solid hook holds - every time.

The Atomic Tackle Chodda is the ultimate hook for chod and stiff rigs. There is no getting away from it! GUNSMOKE is a new coating that is used by Atomic Tackle. A specialised electro plating process. This requires fewer plating operations than the industry standard black nickel, so producing an even sharper point to your hooks.

The Chodda is the strongest carp hook on the market and will never let you down. A must for fishing big gravel pits. The perfect hook for hit and hold carp fishing situations where landing every carp is a must.

Use of Chodda Hook

The out turned eye has a good size hole to accept at least 3 turns of hooklink material. This means no struggling to tie up as a chod rig with heavier strains of chod filament or simple knotless knots. The hooks come in a range of sizes including the 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8s as well as a size 10. This ensures you will be able achieve the correct balance to match your chosen bait buoyancy. Sharp straight from the packet with a robust point. The Chodda hook lends itself to being sharpened further and will still retain its strength. A very popular hook for fettling to a razor point. No carp are getting away with it with this hook.

Extract from customer review

Since switching over to choddas I have only lost one fish in the last 3 seasons on Woodpecker lake, Earith. A weedy water that lots of members seem to suffer from hook pulls. These hooks are strong and sharp. I do use a file but only sharpen one side opposite the barb. I use these when fishing the multi rig and would happily take them anywhere.

Atomic chodda hooks

I have been using these hooks for over 6 years now. Whilst fishing St.Ives lagoon Jon McAllister showed them to me but at the time I was entirely happy with my current hooks and wasn’t about to change. In big carp fishing confidence is everything! Fast forward a couple of years and my hooks had let me down twice, straightening on both occasions. Once I could put down to bad luck but not twice! As I mentioned earlier confidence is everything and for me this is the most important component in any rig. If I get my location and bait application right, I catch. It’s as simple as that. Be lucky, Neil
