Forces Carp Off 2019 - Embryo Norton Disney Complex

Last month on the 22nd November the Forces Carp Off Charity event took place at the Embryo Norton Disney fishing complex in Lincolnshire. Organized by serving Royal Marine Lee Clarke with the aim to raise money for combat stress, teams from all three services of the Armed Forces competed against each other for 48 hours with a raffle taking place at the end to raise further money for charity.

We were pleased to support the event, providing some great prizes for the raffle including a Fox Ultra Brolly won by Ben Hardy (Royal Marines) and three Sticky Bait Bucket Bundles won by Richard Cook (RAF) , John Kittle (Army), and Mitch Hunt (RAF). The event itself was a great success although the fishing was slow with 1st place going to the Royal Navy and Royal Marines with five fish for just over 87lb. 2nd place going to the Army with two fish for a total of 45lb and 3rd place going to the RAF who drew a blank.

The winning pair was Lee Clarke and Luke Hayden catching 3 fish to 61lb and the biggest Carp went to Andy Parr weighing in at 26lb 15oz. In total the event raised £4008.00 which will be split between Combat Stress and Forces Carp. A great cause that St.Ives Tackle will be happy to support again in the future.
