St.Ives Tackle - Pike Fishing in December

Despite all the wet weather we have been having through December and the River Great Ouse being in flood, many St.Ives Tackle Team Members have been out in the Fens enjoying some good Pike Fishing. James Chalkley has been at it again fishing for a few hours at first light catching Pike to mid doubles by float fishing dead baits on a local Fen Drain. Paul Marriot also got in on the action catching 3 lovely Pike to 17lb in quick succession from a large Fenland Drain. Float fishing dead baits in the margins with just one rod proving very successful.

All the staff at St.Ives Tackle have also been out Pike fishing with owners Mike, Mickey and Adam Bartlett all catching fish to double figures and employee Corinne Sellens catching her first ever Pike whilst out spinning on Earith Carp Lakes.

The St.Ives Lakes Fishery Complex has also got off to a great start with several 20lb Pike captured recently and a monster specimen of just over 30lb. The ticket for this 8 Lake complex is great value with a winter ticket running from 1st November to 31st March 2020 for just £70.00 and £40.00 for concessions.  These tickets are available in store now.

If you would like any more info on the fishing available in the area then feel free to pop in and speak to one of our friendly staff or give us a call on 01480 468196. Alternatively check out our website www.stivestackle.co.uk
