In our comparison testing, it was evident that the 45mm spool offers a significant advantage in achieving distances compared to the original EMBLEM spod spool size. According to our findings, the new 45mm spool can increase casting distance by 10-15m.

The Daiwa Super Spod 45 SCW QD OT Reel boasts 6 ball bearings, a significant increase from the 4 on the EMBLEM spod, resulting in a noticeably smoother performance.

With changing the body and rotor material we have made the reel 70gr lighter at 620gr compared to the 690gr on the old EMBLEM spod. This makes the constant casting and retrieving when spodding easier and less demanding for the angler.

Line is retrieved at 118cm per turn of the handle which will make light work of reeling in a spod at range.
