Korda XT Snag Leader

The 'XT' stands for extra tough — this monofilament leader is engineered for extreme conditions, especially on large, snaggy European waters targeting big carp when dropping rigs by boat. Choose XT Snag Leader where braided alternatives like Arma-Kord are banned, or when you need added stretch and protection.

Unlike braided leaders that can cut into submerged wood and cause breakage, XT's thicker diameter runs across obstacles instead of cutting through them, giving you better odds of landing the fish. Ideal for heavily wooded swims where durability matters.

Available in two breaking strains: 50lb (0.55mm) or 60lb (0.65mm). Each spool holds 100m of material — wind it under tension to prevent unnecessary unravelling and minimise waste.

Key features

  • Monofilament snag leader material
  • Incredibly tough and strong
  • Thick enough that it won't cut into woodwork
  • Provides some stretch and cushioning
